LATAM 2025 – Day 5: Almost Lost the Bus and My Mind

If you recall, the morning before was disgustingly early. The night before we were up til midnight trying to decide what to do with today. The original plan was to take an earlier bus to a UNESCO town called Colonia del Sacramento, then take the fast ferry to Buenos...

LATAM 2025 – Day 4: Uruguay’s Got it Going On

4:38 am - I realize my alarm is going off and I need to wake up the other member of my party. It was another flight at some awful hour. I slept 3 hours again, and I could feel it. Thankfully I had everything ready to go, and I could pretty much roll out of bed into...

LATAM 2025 – Day 1: Flying Through a Lightning Storm is Fine, Right?

I blinked and somehow today is the day I venture to a new continent. This will be lucky number 4/7 (a break from Europe was bound to happen). It was barely an idea in September, but you must strike when the opportunity arises during hockey season. I PROMISE I will try...

Islands 2025 – Day 5: Views, Views, and More Hiking..?

4:57am: Loudest storm I’ve ever heard. I woke up to a deep rumble in the complete darkness. Confused, I turn on my flashlight and then lightning struck and lit my room up from the other side. Great call on not doing the sunrise hike… back to bed! 6am: New creature...

Islands 2025 – Day 4: Seixal Success, Faith Restored

When you go on a trip, your first thought is not “let’s set the alarm for 4:45am!” Well not typically, unless it’s catching one of those flights that saved you $30… My past travelling buddies know exactly what I’m talking about hehe. Anyways, you could say it was an...

Islands 2025 – Day 3: I Can’t Be The Only One Trying!

Bom dia friends! After a much-needed sleep, we were rewarded with an unreal view. I guess one of the fun things about arriving in the dark is that you wake up to a surprise. This was overlooking the town of Machico. The only good thing about the Airbnb was this...

Islands 2025 – Day 2: One of the Most Dangerous Airports…?

Oi lads… London called and I picked up once again. Picking back up from landing in London. I was still putting my brains cells together as I got off the plane. I forgot with being Canadian I don’t need to speak with any humans at arrival. Just scan the passport and...

Islands 2025 – Day 1: The Sandals

Ahh hello all. I’m back in the air again. Surprised? I am too. This trip was a bit of a whirlwind idea that somehow came to life rather quickly. I plan on blogging the days so friends and family can keep up without me mass texting 😉 Sorry in advance for the...

About Me

Growing up in Western Canada, I’ve been blessed with beautiful sights my whole life. Now, it’s my dream to see everyone else’s hometowns and favourite corners of their area.

At the age of 24, I’ve been able to cross 35 countries off my list. To kick off the list, my parents would take me on road trips down the West Coast of America nearly every year growing up. When I graduated in 2018, that marked the year I took my first international flight! And well, the rest is history.
